I have seen naval-marked trousers online from time to time, and was able to lay hands on a pair recently at a show. Does anyone know of jackets or smocks with naval markings on the labels?

Re: Naval Jigsaw Trousers
Yes, there are naval versions of the jacket for sure. IIRC the contract dates are all 1962 and made by Seyntex. It is the button type, not the snap type. There was a small production run of non-Navy Jigsaw in the early 1960s, but the vast majority were produced in 1958.
There is also a naval version of the Brush Denison style smock from 1955 and, I presume, the matching trousers. I also have a 1985 FN marked jump smock in grey lizard, which is a definite oddball item!

Thanks. This summer I found an unworn pair of non-naval jigsaw trousers by Begetex, 1965. It struck me as an unusual date.

Yes, very unusual. I have a couple of the early 1960s Begetex items. None of the pieces I've seen are marked ABL or FNZM. A private purchase item designed to fill in the size gaps remaining official stock?? The material is definitely different than the earlier stuff too, which indicates production of a decent amount of items.

There's a mint 1963 Bergetex Jigsaw trousers on eBay right now. As with others, it has no branch of service markings on it.

Re: Naval Jigsaw Trousers
Nope, that's a common 1958 production sample. The vast majority of Jigsaw items of this design were produced in 1958, though I do think it's uncommon for it to not be marked ABL. I've had a few dozen of these in my hands over the years and, come to think of it, never really paid attention to whether they were marked ABL or not. Now I wish I had!
The one I found is this one:

Re: Naval Jigsaw Trousers
I also have a set of Belgian Navy jigsaw pattern cammies. Both coat and pants have the ZM-FN 1962 markings. I wonder what other years those uniforms were made. Seems like 62-63 were popular years. Anyone seen other dates?
