Belgian naval insignia?

Aside from the cap tallies, which are obviously Belgian, and the police badge for Gent, are any of these other items Belgian? I know that the lozenge/diamond with anchor is probably French.

The green diamond is indeed French. The rest is Belgian.

No, the green diamond is indeed from Belgium.  It was used in the 1980s by candidate petty officers while still in school.  I do not know if they are still in use today.
The diamond patches were sewn on the upper left sleeve and came in 3 colors:
white: candidate career petty officer
green: candidate reserve petty officer
blue: candidate "temporary" petty officer

Below are the ones I have in my collection

All the rank insignia are also Belgian.  There are newer version in plastic. The ones in the picture are for (listed in rank order):
- Luitenant-ter-zee 1ste klasse (=NATO OF-3 or US Navy Lieutenant Commander)
- Vaadrig-ter-zee 2de klasse (=NATO OF-1 or US Navy Ensign)
- Kwartiermeester (=NATO OR-3 or US Navy Seaman)

Oh, indeed, your're right. I forgot about those. Thanks for the correction.

There is also a third type, but it is for the army, more specifically the Belgian Engineers . It is called the boatman's license and has a Rhine Patent included (for soldiers stationed in Germany).



Still seen on the uniform of a NCO of the Amourd Ingeneers in (probably) 2011.
