Re: US Army Jungle trial uniform
That's an interesting piece you have there! Never even knew this existed. So they ditched the chest pockets and arm pocket velcro. Almost like a under armor shirt but fully camo and button front. Is the cloth lighter weight? I notice it's not ripstop.
Readyone seems to get a lot of these small run experimental jobs. 2015 contract date?

Re: US Army Jungle trial uniform
Yep 15 date. Jungle trials info is on soldiersystem. The material is more like aussie uniform material or like the a2cu. Think they have just selected a uniform and called it hot weather/climate uniform

Re: US Army Jungle trial uniform
Apparently they did another test for the 25th ID in January 2018, finalized it on October 2018, and started issuing the new Improved Hot Weather Combat Uniform (IHWCU) in June 2019:

https://www.military.com/daily-news/2019/06/27/armys-new-hot-weather-uniforms-are-about-hit-shelves.html
Here are the dress regulations issued ahead of rollout:
https://www.military.com/daily-news/2017/08/10/army-to-begin-testing-new-jungle-uniform-next-year.html
The full production uniform differs from the 2015 one in several ways, the most important being the cloth. The trials had a flame resistant cloth, the issued ones do not. Arm pockets are similar to ACU but with a button flap. Velcro is back on the sleeve pockets. Collar is traditional type and not Mandarin type. Aside from that it looks like most of the features of the 2015 type were retained.

Re: US Army Jungle trial uniform
I have one of these tops too, I found it at a local surplus shop. It is not flame retardant and is labeled Type 1/Style A/Material M15. It is in OCP with the elbow reinforcing in Multicam. the contract date is 2015 as well.
