Found a German Berlin Police (BGS) bundesGrenzSchutz M53 Helmet Stahlhelm from the 80/90ies area (probably)
They are a nice alternative if u dont want to spent to much money fr a real ww2 helmet and still hav a cool german helmet!

Very nice one! This is probably from the 1950s or 1960s, as the BGS stopped using steel helmets like this in the 1970s and switched to fiberglass (Röhmer type) riot helmets. After 1976 the BGS and other Polizei units were specifically "demilitarized". Obviously this type of helmet was not compatible with that image

The BGS used smooth and rough textured ventless helmets as well as smooth vented ones. I think only BGS used rough textured ventless helmets, so yours is most likely BGS and not Polizei.
