Very old Austrian field jacket help needed

Today I received a very old Austrian field jacket which appears to be from the 1960s. There's a stamp, but totally unreadable. It's made from a lightweight windproof type material. I have a another one in more olive color which is from, I think, the 1970s. My understanding is these jackets were used by officers as part of their every day uniform. Can anybody help me narrow the timeframe and/or purpose of this jacket?

That's AFAIK a so called Alpinanorak/ Gebirgsjägerjacke worn by NCO's and officers. But it wasn't only worn for mountain training.
IIRC timeframe 60-80ies. There is a DAZ75 Feldjackeleicht / Goretexjacket in gray which is used for service dress uniform use.

Excellent! I thought the fabric felt like a GJ item, but I wasn't sure if it was specialized. The fabric appears to be designed for wind protection more than moisture.

This jacket is so old a lot of the original cotton stitching has rotted away. Someone, at some point, repaired it with new stitching in places.

Are these rare?
