Mozambique green lizard

Green Lizard type.

This uniform is basically a recolored copy of Portuguese M985 uniform which replaced the long lived M964, a true classic.

No dates, and according to tag, made in Mozambique.

Recently arrived T shirt.

I post it here because it matches the Mozambique green lizard fairly well.

The "light brown" dominant set is a non defunct/ obsolete pattern forst used in 2000 by Moz troops deployed to Burundi as part of the AU mission (AMIB) there and the patt was locally nick-named "Zambezia" after the province where that particular uniform was most widely issued to FADM troops.

The other more green uniform is the std issue (current) Army (FADM) uniform country wide. The Navy's marines (Fuzileiros) have a slightly different colourway unform also still based on the old coloinial Porra lizard camo.

All current uniforms sewn by FAUMIL company in Matola just outside Maputo.

Glad to know the light green pattern is current general issue.
And also good info on the darker type .

A few photos I've found.

Mozambique Fuzileiros do still wear the distinctively cut lizard that looks like a para jacket, but they also wear regular army type short sleeve shirts with the Mozambique arc insted of their usual Fuzileiros arc.
