Re: Unidentified AK pouch
The closers remind of awful Bulgarian stuff, but nothing else about it really matches up. I have several weird AK pouches that I need to post as well, including one made from electric blue canvas...

Re: Unidentified AK pouch
Yeah at first I thought the color looked Bulgarian or Romanian, but that was about it. All other details and materials don't seem to match those 2 at all.
So then I thought the buckles and strap-ends on the side pouches are quite similar to what can be found on middle-eastern copies of British stuff, like Iraqi or Pakistani P58 webbing, and the floppy material of the pouch is also similar to some Iraqi stuff I have, but then there's the synthetic strap material, which I don't remember seeing on any Iraqi kit...
Oh and any weird AK pouches you might want to ID, you could always just post them up here, maybe they can be ID-d along with mine, all being part of the AK family and all

Re: Unidentified AK pouch
I also can only think of Bulgarian equipment having that type of closer. Could be an export example? Surely Bulgaria still exports stuff to various places as they used to when Communist.

Re: Unidentified AK pouch
Ok turns out this actually is Bulgarian, I've found a photo through google of one with the same cut but canvas straps instead of nylon, so this would be a late version of that. Sadly can't save the pic to post it here

Re: Unidentified AK pouch
Damn those are some weird colors!
The first one somehow looks a bit Romanian in cut to me, but that is some bright color!
The 2nd one looks like it's about the same color as BGS breadbags, no idea about that one

Re: Unidentified AK pouch
Yes, the green shade is much like BGS.
