Very interesting combination of insignia - likely worn in mid-1970s to early 1980s?

I’d date this example in the early 80s to 1986 when they were dropped by regulations. The name tag looks just like the ones I had on my uniform in the 90s & up till the ACUs were worn. It’s for an Artillery Major who’s been assigned to the JFK Special Warfare Center. The guy may have been instructor or a staff member. If the composite was pre 1983 then the guy may be SF qualified but if worn after 1983 then he’s not for the SF tab was authorized in 1983. It’s one I’d certainly grab for collection if I came across one on the market.

Background of the insignia(rank, jump wings,) is post-Vietnam poly/cotton. Early 80's used. German jump wings, so served in Europe. Combat patch more than likely from Vietnam Service. Nice jacket.
