Denison Smock 1959 Pattern Repro

During Covid, I wondered if I could identify the pattern from two of the 1959 pattern Denison smocks. Having done so, I tried to work out the colours of a 60 year old smock, which had colour variations from new, due to different fabric suppliers and print runs.
Next was to find someone to print a small run of fabric and finally someone to make me a smock in my size.

These are some of the results. Some are mine and some for others, hence size differences. I like size 8’s.

This one was made by another person from my fabric in slightly different colours.

An earlier version, that I tinkered with, as colours not right. I added tribute shapes to differentiate from originals. Falkland Islands, Northern Ireland, Normandy and Arnhem.

I also tried making a third variant pattern. The brown came out too dark. Scale of pattern was too small but…

For s@#ts and giggles I played with the colours to make a couple of desert inspired fantasy items.
One tailor failed to add the pattern pivot/repeat but still ……
