This is a recent pick up of mine from the Ft. Campbell area. It is a Simmons scope that was a private purchase piece and used on a soldiers M-4 rifle. It is quite used, but is still in good working order. I recently bought a Piccatiny rail mount and some scope rings (not pictured). I found this in a surplus shop with a bunch of other used SF gear. It was cheap, so I bought it. If this piece could only talk.........

Another close up. The lenses are covered in a very fine sand. Typical of Iraq or Afghanistan use. From what I was told by a former Marine who was in Iraq, it was very common for soldiers to buy Simmons scopes in the 2003-2005 time period and use them on their M-4's. This could have been used in Iraq or Afghanistan.
