Re: HELMETS?????
Most army use now Marte IV (5.56 protection). You can see more information in http://www.cascoscoleccion.com/espana/espana.htm
Recently the EZAPAC (Zapadores paracaidistas) have added the
MICH TC-2004 to their stuff. (it protects to 7.62 impacts)
Anyway There are other tank helmets...

Re: HELMETS?????
For most of the post-war time period the Spanish used a "pot" helmet derived from the US M1 two piece helmet.

Re: HELMETS?????
Hi, I am going to resume, although I am not an expert in helmets the use of different types used fron Spanish Civil war to actuality:
Model 21: From 30´s to 50´s
Model 26: From 30 to 50´s
Model 38 (Trubia): From 30´s to 40´s
Model 30 (Checo): From 30´s to 40´s
Model 26 (Adrian French): From 30´s to 40´s
Model 35 (german): ·Late 30´s-inmediately post war
Model 33 (italian): ·Late 30´s-inmediately post war
Model 36 (Russian): Civil war period
Model M1and M1A1 (different versions): (American): Introduced in 50´s-70´s
Model 1965 NATO (derivated of M! USA): 80´s
Model Z45 (derivated German 35):40´s-80´s
Model Z42-79(derivated German 35):80´s
Other helmets used like model MK2 Talker for Navy artillery used from 50´s to 80´s I think.
Until Spain decided to build a "modern helmet" for their troops in mid 40´s they used almost all used from different countries fought the Civil War. After thay and always with the german reminiscence of Z42 and Z42-79, the most common use was american, the country wich more help gave us (economic and military)because of the needed of supporting the countries wich were in anti comunist side.
All the photos can be seen in the reference web I gave in the first answer. That man I think is one of the better references about helmets in Spain.
Best regards
