Russian MVD helmets Empty Russian MVD helmets

    Post by 5224 Fri Mar 11, 2011 5:27 pm

I'm not sure that this is the wright place for this, if it's the wrong place: mod/admin, please advise me where to put it.

I have been collecting contemporary MVD stuff, especially helmets for a while now, thought that I would show some of the ones I have gotten so far:

Swiss made TIG-helmet, the forbearer to the famous "Altyn"-helmet. It was bought in some quantity by the Soviets during the 80ties, before they got their own production on the way:

    Russian MVD helmets Tig

    ---

Niistali k6-3, regrettably without the visor:

    Russian MVD helmets K63

    ---

Classcom Maska 1sch, this is also regrettably without the visor:

    Russian MVD helmets Maskax

    ---

Classcom ZSH-1, I have the visor for this but have not installed it yet:

    Russian MVD helmets Zsh1

    ---

Classcom ZSH-1-2M, said to be made in the same mould as the Maska helmets:

    Russian MVD helmets Zsh12m

You have to excuse the poor quality of the pictures, the daylight is shorter then i wished up here but I hope you make due! Any questions or thoughts, I'm glad to answer.

Amazing helmets! I have never seen legitimate helmets in collector hands before, usually just plastic airsoft replicas. Great items, thanks for sharing these!

Likewise. I was lucky enough to obtain a 'Sphera' locally some years ago but these new helmets cost an absolute packet each. Those visors look like they could withstand 7.62! Congrats on a great collection!

Thanks! Actually one of them can, but not a rifle bullet. The ZSH-1-2M visor can withstand a TT pistol bullet (7,62mm) in a range of 5 m, while the TIG visor can defeat a PM pistol bullet (9mm) in a range of 5 m.

I have some more stuff laying around that I may show, among them a Kora-Kulon and a Kazak 5 protective vests from when I started with my vest collection (stopped when I realized that my economy can't stand collecting both vests and helmets at the same time...).

Hello all. New recruit here :-)

    Dear 5224.

Your input is valuable and the photographs are truly stunning.

I have recently tried reading up on these Russian exotic "domed helmets" but there is a severe shortage of literature.

This collection you posses in incredibly rare, ive tried looking for even replicas online but cant seem to find good sites. Are you up for selling any of your helmets??

Please tell me more about this manufacturer classcom. Their different models. Links?

    Scanning would be immensely appreciated!

    Just like to ask:

    1) Where can I acquire a real classcom k6 type helmet?
    2) What is the armour rating of these in US or international scale?

Im really fascinated by these domed helmets.
Also check out the "Sfera" series

Here is a link to the manufacturer Classcom / НПП КлАСС:
    http://www.classcom.ru

K6 type off helmets is not made by classcom but by Niistali / НИИ Стали. Contacts in russia is the only way I know off, I might be able to help you but you need to realise that theese helmets are extremley expensive, you could easily spend up to 1500 USD on one helmet off the these types.
If you understand and axcept this, I could look for one for you.

I do not have the western equivilant but the russian class is "GOST R 50744-95-2" (able to defeat 7,62 ”TT” Tokarev from 5 ´meters away).

Sfera is not my preference, never liked the type. Wink

Will add scans when I have done them!
