They are harder for me to find here in the states , engineers sounds interesting !!
Also I like the garrison unis as they are relatively short lived from what I have seen , I think the camo is pretty cool as well GO CANADA !!!!!

Re: Garrison Uniform
Why Canada had a camouflage GARRISON uniform, and an OD Combat uniform is beyond me...but I want to get my hands on some of this. I have looked into it before

Re: Garrison Uniform
Oooo... nicely done up! The Stable Belt is really neat. Never seen a Canadian one before.
I have a couple extra jackets. I bought a bunch a number of years ago when there was a small glut of them available. If someone is interested, PM me and I'll send the particulars. Not looking for much money out of these suckers. They are all missing badging, but if you give me until the Spring I can pick up most of the stuff for it when I go to my favorite shop in Quebec.

Re: Garrison Uniform
Where abouts in Quebec.
I live in Gatineau,Quebec.
We have 3 small shops here but all are high high high,,one has true surplus that i trade with on occasion.
The other 2 are either sky high or focusing on Paint ball and commercial stuff now.
A couple of auctins ago I found one of these AIrbourne badged in the bottom of a textile batch.

Re: Garrison Uniform
Found myself one of these jackets...still think they look weird. Like one serving soldier told me, no one could figure out why OD combats were to be worn in the field and these while in garrison. Did not make much sense to anyone. Due to the non-breathable polyester material they would have failed miserably in the field anyway.
GD was a short lived order of dress, but it spawned a whole issue of insignia. The GD pattern trade patches were in the hands of collectors before they were fully on issue!

Re: Garrison Uniform
Nice find. Usually they are missing all their badging. At best you might find one with some of the badging.
Matt, sorry I never answered your question from back in 2009! I go to Quebec City fairly often, which is a very, very long ways away from you

Re: Garrison Uniform
Mine:
A very poor jacket, I don't even know why they bothered to make an item like this in camouflage.
