Re: HELMET w/ MP COVER
Hi, in answer to your question there are at least 5 different models, four are of steel and a plastic (Used for parades and military police).
This old model is developed during World War II, being rejected by Hitler.
In the 50's was taken on the project to give the Army a new helmet, the first games to employ an interior almost identical to that used by M-35/40/42 with simple chin strap, but soon will appear the new harness system and Y-chin strap
The first model has three external rivets (1956/1966) type 1 (interior type with World War II) Type 2 (with new harness and chin strap in Y.)
The second presents six external rivets for the new internal system that unifies all sizes to be adjustable. (1966)
In the third the surface is completely smooth rivets being soldiers inside.
The fourth is the plastic model for parades and military police, which can weigh no more than 1 / 2 kg
I hope it helps.
