I stumbled across this cool photo of British soldiers wearing what appeared to be dyed desert DPM.

    dyed DPM Mixed-10

Anybody has seen this before? It would be cool if somebody here actually has one!

Interesting photo indeed. I saw this photo back last summer and was puzzled at first, then I realised what it was.

Guess its dyed for "greener" areas of Afghanistan where DDPM isn't as conducive to the terrain. Resourcefulness and ingenuity at its finest!

I haven't seen any on eBay or any other surplus sites, but I bet they're out there...only a matter of time until one turns up, I'm sure.
But then you'll have to fight me for it. lol!

I have seen a few dyed windproof and normal smocks but they were dyed black. I know however cos i have done this with the 1st issue desert DPM's, they dye black but after a few washes they go a little green'ish for some reason.

I think these were guys from 2 Rifles, not everyone had dpm smocks for using in the green zone, they got a load of UBACS and had em dyed locally, came out a strange turquiose green colour but apparently it worked quite well.
