Re: Strange looking camo patterns
LOL, that's because there's a lack of water buffaloes in Belgium!
Some of those South East Asian countries certainly had some nasty, nasty patterns - love that Indo political party (AMPG) pattern, could blend into an opium induced haze quite easily indeed!

Ha ha, my buddy is going to be working as a mecic out on the oilfields sometime in the next couple of years, im sure he is going to come out of it with some stories
I have seen a few shirts around that rival in ugliness to this...one guy I know has a light green and tan Hawaiian shirt that blends in just as well as some camouflage patterns

Some of the floral patterns I've seen on old ladies are also as effective as new digicams, particularly in an urban environment!

I thought the East German desert was hideous... Well, that Indonesian camo is hands down the winner for me.
From what country did that water buffalo camo come from? I have a set of that

Re: Strange looking camo patterns
I meant the East German rain pattern and not desert, obviously they don't have one.
I got the Benin set from a trade. Nice lion, water buffalo and paw print all over the uniform.
Looks like the developer of the Indonesian camo was high on LSD at the time and so were the people who approved it

Re: Strange looking camo patterns
There was a seller in Hong Kong selling the Benin stuff a while ago, along with lots of other oddball African uniforms produced in China. But that window of opportunity opened and closed rather quickly. I hesitated because I thought the supply would stay around for a while. I wish I had moved faster!

Re: Strange looking camo patterns
The water buffalo/lion cammo was made in China for a French company( Marck) who supplied it for game wardens in a former French colony. It is modelled on the 47/56 French para suits and it looks very fetching if worn to an anti hunt demonstration!
