Re: Winter flecktarn
Probably not all that effective in average snow conditions (coniferous forests are a different story!), but I've always found this to be beautiful!

Re: Winter flecktarn
The long used German reversible snow camouflage is the best out there IMHO. When in a forest situation you have the "pine needle" side out and get excellent camouflage effect from it. When crossing open or sparse areas you reverse it to pure white and become nearly invisible. The problem with the winter Flecktarn is that it only works in one environment and not the other. Crossing an open field in that camo would be almost as bad as wearing a temperate uniform

Re: Winter flecktarn
Is this the TacGear uniform?
Such an awesome-looking pattern!
P.S. -- where is the actual guy wearing it in that photo?

Re: Winter flecktarn

That's what I had thought but I wasn't sure... then I noticed the giveaway TacGear leg straps.

I agree with Steve here, that White with grey/green splotches is the best around, that E. German set I have is one of my favorites, and it works like a charm, I have had people walk not 30 feet away from me in sparse brush, look straight at me as i am standing in the middle of a small clearing with footprints all around and not see me.
much love for this Winter Flecktarn though, I think the design looks very cool, and it seems to work pretty well because I cant see anybody in the picture

ha ha, its obvious now that I notice the trail in the snow leading right to him. That stuff seems to work pretty damn well in that type of environment
