Steven, is the artillary badge attached to a maroon beret?
If so, the beret colour is wrong for this badge.
Maroon berets are only issued to Airborne (Fallschirjaeger), LRRP (Fernspaeher), SF (Kommando Spezial Kraefte)and Army Aviation (Heeresflieger).
Artillary get issed the so called 'Korallrot' (red) coloured berets.

Digging up an old post, Hope that's okay.

The Maroon beret with the artillery badge actually did exist. It was worn in the Airmobile Artillery Regt 9( LLArt Rgt9) from 1986 until its dissolution in 1991.

Yes, but the maroon beret is dated 1999 Very Happy

Did other branches of service wear their badge on the Maroon beret?

Hello, sorry But the Bundeswehr used NEVER this Baret with this Crest.

They used only this kind of crest with the Korallrot' (red) coloured berets.

Here's my single BW hat. It's an 11/65 dated wool overseas hat made by Georg Grate that is pretty battered, but I like it!!

That hat belongs to what is commonly referred to is the "Filzlaus" uniform. Started out life as a universal combat uniform from 1959-1962, then became relegated to a winter uniform until the mid 1970s. It was not a popular uniform.

I've got a pair of the pants for it.. I used to have a jacket, but sold it years ago. Wish I had it now to go with the rest. They used to be really common around here and now I don't see them anymore. Funny. I always liked that uniform. I wore the pants back in high school and used the jacket in the winter a lot. Gonna have to find me another..LOL

    Fins..
