M-1 Helmet?Anyone knows what country?

Hello!
Maybe someone knows what country is it?Helmet shaped definitely after a US M-1, made in fiber like M1 liners but much more thicker. The inside webbing made as in US helmets. What could it be?Korea?Vietnam? Thanks for any comments.

This is the Iraqi M80 Helmet. Used by the forces of Saddam Hussein.

Glad I could help. I can honestly say, if I didn't have one myself, I wouldn't know what it was. I find it odd that your's does not have the Iraqi Army property marks inside the suspension.

The webbing is pretty faded, I`ve found some markings on the sweat band but they are impossible to read. I found similiar helmet described as used in tunisian army and made in south korea in the 90s. But comparing mine to the IACMC photos it`s doubtless that it`s Iraqi one;)

Yes andrew said it all this is a iraqi helmet a lot where painted or camo or had there unit symbol painted on them. These helmets are heavly used during desert storm till the current war now. I have one with a bunch of writting on the inside and is painted tan. A lot of U.S. troops brought back these helmets as they where found all over after battles. They can range from $40.00 to $200.00 depending on what is on it and all. Very nice find tho

Those Iraqi helmets aren't even bulletproof.

The SOUTH KOREANS also used these M80 helmets [M76] shown with camo covers

SOUTH KOREAN M76

South Korean helmet produced by Daewoo company. It is made of a ballistic fibre. This helmet has been exported in many countries including Irak (aka M80) where it has been used in the two Gulf Wars. This example is new, complete and in perfect unused condition

Good information and not surprising considering the amount of South Korean stuff sold into the Middle East over the years.
