Something I didn't even know existed until I saw it up on eBay. Nicely documented too.
The printing was done by screens, not rollers. Which explains why the quality is so poor, even beyond the probable significant fading. The green color was printed dark enough that it soaked through to the other side, the purplish gray color (don't know what it was originally) only appears on one side.
The square size and button system are pretty common. The buttons are a type which the French used for a while even post war.
