Love the colours and glad the stamps are all still visible as well.

Re: Lizard Poncho/Shelter Half.
Everybody should have 4
There are two varieties. One has metal press stud buttons, the other metal sewn on. There are two different camo patterns too, and IIRC they are linked with the buttons. One is more dense than the other. The dense one, as Gulf has, is the more common type.
Somewhere I posted some comparison pics.

Four,Darn I need to up my game
Steve I was not aware that there are two types, I assumed they were all the sewn on button types, that's great to know.Ignoring the jacket, here's my shelter -half,and pic of the stamp and sewn on buttons.

Re: Lizard Poncho/Shelter Half.
Oo, that is a crisp one! I've had about a half dozen in my hands before and I don't remember having a stamp like that.
Here's a link to the thread I mentioned:
https://iacmc.forumotion.com/t4364-french-50s-shelter-half?highlight=shelter
And the pictures of the two types:
I don't know if the "sparse" type has pressed buttons as an option, but it does seem like the "dense" type has either of the two types.
Note also that Gilles responded at the time:
From a man that has almost everything ever made for French forces, including shelter halves in WSS and Italian camo, I'm thinking I did much better with that acquisition than I thought

The second, I don't know what is the pattern, rare item!

Thanks for the info Steve, and yeah I specifically bought this particular one, due to it's clear stamp ( I am anal when it comes to markings/stamps I'm afraid)
You did good with the rare one, and indeed Gilles is a very valuable source of French Militaria here, much respect due to his expertise!
