DPCU Tankers? Jacket 2007

Dated 2007, made by ADA. I think it's a tankers jacket but have never seen one before. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Pockets lower than normal shirt. Zipper front.



3 pen pockets on out side of left breast pocket.



Shoulder straps sit on ???? I dont know what to call it.

Oh and the shoulders straps are called epaulettes

Armoured Corps jacket. Comes with unique trousers and kepi cap. I think they are more flame resistant than standard DPCU, has double strength epaulettes for pulling crewman out from top, trousers have pockets designed for seated position + lower leg pocket.

Hi martin, I have one set of it and i don't think the material is different with Normal one. Maybe slightly thicker but not much. and i don't know about unique kepi cap for tanker, any info ?

About the epaulettes, Tanker shirt is different with normal. It have 2 plates, one for putting the rank on it another one which can't button open, i think that's for placing the rolled hat or the beret.

I think the material has more natural content so that it's not as prone to melting in case the vehicle gets hit - I'm not sure whether it is 100% cotton or not (need to check mine). Cold comfort for the grunts wearing regular uniforms riding in the back of the APC ...

The fixed epaulettes are indeed for aiding extraction. How effective they are remains to be seen.

There are indeed issue Auscam kepis, indeed I have two varieties, one lined with terry towelling and the other not. They are an issued RAAC item as they provide some measure of sun protection whilst wearing the CVC helmets.

Yes , i checked that's 100% cotton.

for aiding extraction, Ahhh .. that's make sense , i though that's for beret just like what British army usually do.
