Hey Gary, Nice set of 58 there, I just helped my mate put a set together not so long ago, I picked up a few bits at our local surplus shop, got a set of braces the poncho roll and a couple of pouches for $5 each all unissued. And Graham, Thats one mean looking rig you have there mate! I really like it. Im currently trying to put together a set of 44 patt webbing in similar condition, which is proving to be quite fun trying to find all the bits in near new condition, but Im always up for a good challenge Laughing

    Thanks Mate.

I relate to you trying to build up a 44 set,I tried to build up a 37 pattern a while back ,but struggled to complete the webbing,so this project has been put on the back burner for a while now.....maybe one day,I will stumble across the bit's I need, but equally would like to have a complete 44 webbing set too Wink

Hey mate, Ive found patt 37 to be the easiest webbing to find, I have 5 or 6 infantry set ups and 2 officers, the hardest part to find is the lined compass pouch, they are rare in any condition, I paid almost $50au for an unissued 1940 dated one, the Australian 1943 upgraded version of the patt 37 gear is hard as hell to find too, I have almost got a full set now just trying to find a bayonet frog, Its the same as a patt 37 frog but has the brass attachments the same as on a basic pouch sewn to the back, last one I saw on ebay went for over $80au !!
