Small pack is it British or US ????

Hi Guys.

Dug this one of storage,but to be honest I'm not sure what is it...looks like a M1944 Small pack...but I'm not sure...there are markings inside though ,which hopefully will help.

Please help to ID,so I don't lay awake at night pondering on this mystery

Pretty sure this is one of the Brit jungle packs that was produced at the tail end of WW2, along with the "P44" jungle uniform that saw very limited use in the CBI towards the end of the war. And naturally, continued on in use from there with the rest of the UK's involvement in that part of the world "post war" as every seems to call it.

I have some great reference books that I will dig out later and confirm.

A good reference book is this below. I used to be heavy in to the WW2 Commonwealth 1:6 world, so this is one of the books that came in handy. Wish I could afford to collect it in 1:1 as well, but have to focus on one area in reality. Now if I ever win a lottery, it is game on, lol.

Cool thanks Mate, I will keep an eye out for this book,I have a Martin J Brayley Helmet ref book,and it's the dog's nads, so I will definetely need one like this sooner or later
