Luxembourg gets its own camo pattern!

Apologies if you've already heard this, but:

Luxembourg now has dropped (officially) the US BDU uniforms in favour of a new pattern!



The desert version.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get hold of this and, if possible, where?!

It was hard enough to get their old Belgian and US type uniforms... I can't imagine this one will be any easier. They've had it since at least June of 2010.

The other pics I've seen make it look to be a sort of blobby CADPAT Arid looking pattern.

The bottom uniform is a "Finnish" winter M05 pattern, was also adopted by Luxembourg, the specific jacket belongs to Marco, from germany... I've seeing that picture before... really sweet.

It is nice! It doesn't seem to be of the same pattern as the other pics though, the camo is the same... I still think that desert pattern is the best/nicest I've ever seen...

i think the guy on the left might be finnish as well, i know who originally posted those pics, there's also a picture of a Commander wearing a goretex parka on same pattern.

If you want i can forward the contact from marco (who owns the jacket on the picture) i think he might have some fabric left over...
He custom makes his own jackets and he is really good at it..

Both of the soldiers in that photo are Finnish. The one on the left is holding a traditional Finnish puukko and the other a Gurkha kukri.

Yes, both Finnish. Very well know picture of winter and snow camouflage versions of m/05. Good luck finding any

Maybe they'll order matching Tan or Desert Camo stocks for the Steyr rifles like Saudi Arabia and others. Out with the Greens, in with the Tans.

And drop those factory Slings that are terrible.

I was surprised to see in the posted pictures here that none of the soldiers had reinforced their Steyr slings. Or better, replaced them.

As a quick fix, used the metal buckles from M16 stocks in the front and rear of the Steyr factory slings to reinforce them. Even doubling up, since the poorly made Steyr factory buckle pops open! Decked out with optics, lasers, and other junk weighing 30-40 lbs for a light carbine. It is not a pleasant experience watching someones life savings drop down a cliff in slow motion, because Steyr did a terrible job for the sling, for such a nice rifle.

Replaced slings with an other manufacturer. Next problem. Still that charging handle on left gets in the way of almost any 2-3 point slings. Duct taping everything isn’t going to look nice….

Maybe running the forward portion sling through the opening in the rail might help. With all that weight, maybe the rail will come off, if the rail release button is loose. Some Austrian has probably found the ideal solution.

I have been trying to get the M05 pattern for several years. My friend in Finland advised that their government is working on a new pattern. I do like the "fatty" Luxembourg desert pattern. Perhaps this can be my first pattern from their country. Now just need to make a connection over there. Luxembourg here we come!

Unfortunately having friends there doesn't help - selling is interdit (forbidden - by law)! Occasionally the odd bit gets out (patches can be sold) but mostly, it doesn't.

Thats bogus First was Finns...Then M05 patterns was copyed in Russia. Then everywhere...

Please watch your language here. Also, a very confusing post. Danilo said it was Finnish. We all know it is Finnish, so I am not sure why you think anybody here is thinking it is anything but Finnish And yes, the Russians copied it as they copy many patterns. Not sure how that got into this conversation.
