    It isn't often you see a real one of these, this one IS real because it doesn't look like its meant to!

    don't know if you can see it here, but the shoulderboards are dated 1945.

    There're a few labels, stamps etc. inside too.

    Very nice, based on the shoulder boards do you know what kind of unit the guy who wore this was in? I have one and apparently because of the shoulder board color mines an artillery unit, I gotta see if its official or a repro now/

    My ones are infantry ('raspberry pink'). Your's are red if they are artillery. There is considerable variation in types (many were made in E.Germany p/w) and there are of course repros... it really depends on dates.

    I have a greater doubts that this soviet gimnasterka period WWII. The Design other. The Photographies very bad.

    I understand where you are coming from Sarbaz and yes, it doesn't look "real ww2".

    I've searched high and low and got the top expert in the field to look at it - it puzzled him too! His theory is that it is emergancy "blokada" prouduction (1943) with shoulder boards added later. The buttons are in fact the same type used on WW2 braces Very Happy . Otherwise, the material and the cut is totally non standard.
