I think you might be suprised, they are much stronger than you think.

If any of you can tell me where to get a set in 7585/9000 trousers, and 8000/0510 for a shirt, in good condition, would be mutch appriciated!

Years ago I picked up a jungle camouflage uniform in The Hague with a Korps Mariniers shoulder title.  Any idea if this was done regularly? I know that Dutch Marines were issued used those Army uniforms on a temporary basis when going through jungle warfare training courses in Surinam or Belize.  All the pictures that I have seen do not have any shoulder title (either in the QPO magazine or on the facebook page - such as this one at https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1471567692906190&set=pcb.1471570562905903&locale=fr_FR)

This is, by far, my favorite recoloring of US 3 Color Desert. I love it!

Years ago I listed the known items on the previous page, but I have some updates so I'll redo it here:

    1. Parka/smock
    2. Jacket
    3. Shirt (long sleeve)
    4. T-shirt (short sleeve)
    5. UBACS
    6. Trousers
    7. Shorts (not cut down trousers!)
    8. Boonie hat
    9. Patrol cap
    10. Helmet cover (steel pot type)
    11. Helmet cover (Kevlar type)
    12. Poncho/shelter half

I could have sworn I also saw a plastic/nylon backpack cover, but I don't see it in my reference materials so I might have imagined it.

You didn’t imagine. It is there all right. Do not forget the tarp either. It is bigger than the poncho.

Large pack waterproof covers cost as little as 5 euros here in the Netherlands.
The M53 helmet covers i have never seen before, however i have seen a M53 Desert cover for sale. The Helmet was in use until or possibly just after 1995 when the M95 version of the German Schubert Helmet was introduced. The 2 previous covers being part of the so called M93 equipment would stay in use until everyone was issued the M95 Helmet. Nice find on the Jungle M53 David. Saw the M53 Desert on sale for 45 euros, sorry, not paying that much.
    Regards

Interesting! Looking at pictures it seems that he one with the wire has metal snaps to hold the sides of the flap up. It also has a neckflap. The one without the wire has no snaps and no neck flap. Or is it the other way around?

Both my hats (soft/wired) have the flap, strap and leather strap piece. But…. The soft brim does have only one snap while the wired one has two. Also the ventilation holes are positioned differently.

Yes, very light weight. Which is good for tropical conditions Smile I recently started wearing a pair of jungle trousers for working in the woods where it can get quite warm. It works great, but they are not very tough so I don't think I will wear them much longer. Especially because summer is nearly gone and temperatures are NOT tropical!
