This is a beautiful shirt and in my opinion is 100% authentic. I have a few of them, one with the same tailor made SFC collar stripes. As for the name tapes, I have seen several versions, some with US ARMY tapes in the normal location and others with no US Army at all and the name tape on the left side. The reason I am told is that they were advisors to an ARVN unit and not a US Unit and therefore no US ARMY tape. These uniforms have become very valuable in recent years. I was lucky to obtain a whole footlocker full of the uniforms of a CPT who was an ARVN Airborne adivisor. I recently attended a memorial dedication/reunion of the advisors here in Fayetteville and many of the Vietnameese veterans who attended wore their old camo uniforms, much of it French.
