Well, being a soldier of the country you collect kit from is cheating
Damned nice selection of stuff there! I had noticed that the 1990s DPM rank slides come in different lengths/tapers. Looks like there's 4 different types at the very least? Some differences on the desert rank slides too. Interesting! Do you know anything about the reasons why?
What are the small para wings on the right side of your picture for?
Steve

Wow!! What's the history behind the 'Blood Diamond Pants' patch (Yes, I know it originates from a thread on milphotos.net - I'm talking about where did the patch come from?)
Great collection of patches!

Re: Brassards ,Rank slides and badges
No to sure i got it from milphotos a few years back. I think it started when a guy was asking what type of pants leo decaprio was wearing during he movie blood diamond and it went from there.

Re: Brassards ,Rank slides and badges
They're a ratchety bunch on milphotos ... admittedly appropriate for such a noob question. Luckily we are way more civilised here (although some posts here have me 'biting my fingertips' as it were ...)
My current TRGWO is ex-NZ Army and as I found out recently a NZ militaria collector, I'm sure he'll get a buzz looking at these photos.
Re the Shooting Team patch - I scored one of these in trade from a member of the NZ AASAM shooting team - were these the only guys to wear them?

Re: Brassards ,Rank slides and badges
Excellent photos, thankyou very much for posting.
I collect NZ Military badges and rank, for which it is very hard to find information on. So these photos have been fantastic - Thankyou.
If anyone is interested in seeing what I have in my collection, I have created a website where I have all photos of all my items
I'll post a link once I have completed my probation period as a new member to this forum.
Cheers
Gareth
