Re: Brassards ,Rank slides and badges
The 5th Bn (Wellington West Coast & Taranaki) one of 7 former Territorial Infantry Battalions, now amalgamated with the 7th Bn (Wellington Napier & Hawkes Bay) to form 5/7 RNZIR, was introduced in around 2008 in conjunction with their 150th birthday anniversary to be worn on the pugarry of the mounted rifles hat, not sure if it was ever approved or worn.

Seen! I was waffling on about the black green yellow and white one in between the 4 O South and 5th Bn collar badge, which does represent Mt Taranaki, big bad bravo has the ECW cadre again.

Re: Brassards ,Rank slides and badges
Hi John,
I saw your ad in the Army News, I could pop into the 2/1 RNZIR RP hut and photograph the RP brassards and velcros if you are interested, or are you only after operational badges/brassards?

2/1RNZIR wrote:Hi, any info on this brassard? maybe a tri service brassard?
The New Zealand Battalion No 6 (NZ Batt 6) was sent a small force from Headquarters Joint Forces New Zealand, known as the Theatre Extraction Team, East Timor Mission (TET EM).
The TET EM worn a patch consisting of the Joint Forces colours with letters TET EM in the middle.
