Army medic here

Howdy all.

I was a combat medic (MOS 91A [subsequently changed by the Army to 91B]) from 1986 to 1996.

Spent 6 years on active duty in Germany (sorry, no pics as I don't have a flatbed scanner [ these were the days prior to digital cameras ])

The above picture shows me with my trusty ambulance during annual training out at Fort Hood. Vehicle markings (and shoulder patch) are of the Texas Army National Guard 49th Armored Division. Combat patch (if you can see it) is the 1st Armored Division ( I spent 6 months in the sandbox during Desert Shield / Desert Storm )

This is me and my cronies at a port in Saudi Arabia picking up our vehicles in late 1990 (I'm the guy on the right).



This is me making my third mistake, shortly after returning to Germany from Desert Storm (1992). The DBDUs are private purchase, and were delivered to me in Iraq less than a month before we returned to Germany (and long past any hostilities).


Sorry for the small pix. Until I can get a flatbed scanner and rescan the original photos, they'll have to do :/
