Nice pieces! The armbands and helmet band are fantastic. Do they have any markings on them (besides the obvious big red cross Very Happy)?

The medic stuff was really, really hard to find for a while. Canteens carriers are seen every so often too, but that's been the case for a while. The bags were nearly impossible to find until recently. Someone must have found a stash of the bags as they are now a regular feature on German and Austrian eBay.

    Hi Steve
    In response to your questions..

The helmet band has markings (see pics) the armbands have no markings but one has a Velcro square sewn in to allow use with M75???...

I have found my other Austrian medic paraphernalia... so here's a pic of it all together!!!

Whilst arranging the medic Satchell and dot camo bags for photos..... just then it struck me... as they appeared to be exactly the same dimensions.... I put one inside the other!!!   then it all suddenly made sense... the Camo "bag" is actually just a cover for the earlier grey medic Satchell!!!! I hadn't realised this at all... as the two had never met until today!!!   the issued example also bears this out... as the wear on the cover flap lines up with the shape of the Satchell!!!you all probably knew this !!! ha ha!!!!

the unissued dot camo "cover" is an oddity in itself as the colour is almost like a night camo version although I do realise there are different types/variations of this same pattern???

nice sewn in tag in unissued camo cover

marks in issued camo cover but no sewn tag

now the Satchell came with two straps the buff leather one with the same clips as the bag itself and a black leather one which has the same clips as Austrian water bottle covers (see photos)!!??
did the Austrian army use straps like this as the Wehrmacht did... for carrying two ammo boxes for the squad MG !???? any ideas!!

Cool info!! No, I had no idea that the camo "bag" is just a cover for the gray colored medic bag. Well, that certainly explains why the bag is so flimsy! I figured it took a bag of some sort, but I thought it was more of a package than a pack. Now I have to find myself a medic bag Very Happy

I have never seen a double ended leather strap like what you have. It's adjustable too. Hmmm... I have no idea what it's for. You're right that it could be for carrying ammo cans, but it could also be a strap for something like a map case or other specialized equipment.
