S10s are indeed very common but whats that attachment on the left side please?

Ah yes, thats just a microphone attachment for the Clansman radio family, rarely used when they were issued due to their naffness.

i only found out by chance when i stumbled across the mic attachment, on closer inspection of that little port of whatever you call it it there seems to be an air tight metal disk inside that lets no air in or out however amplifies sound coming out into the mic.
