    Iraq. These sets were issued I believe to the Republican Guard. They were modified from British P37 Webbing like you inferred, and based off of the set up they had for the Boys anti-tank rifle.I have one myself from the vet who brought it back, although he removed the 20 rounds of 7.62 x 39 it was issued with, along with the foul smelling meat the guy had for rations!
