How come it doesn't have an NSN?

It is interesting that loads of the worlds countries now wear UBACS. I think the US ones with the camo side panels the the only ones that look different from the rest.

Rich, I'm not sure why there's not an NSN for this piece, but that's a good question.

As before Ben, suberb Mate, nice one Cool

Latvia is a member of the United Nations, European Union, and NATO, so why no NSN is odd, maybe becuase this one is a Polish made commercial/Contracted piece they felt no need for an NSN??

Good estimation Gary. I'm really not sure why this piece lacks an NSN. Perhaps the pattern hasn't been entered into the NATO stock system yet?

As far as I can gather, NFM had the primary contract to manufacture these specifically for the Latvian MoD, (and no commercial copies exist that I know of) so the lack of an NSN is puzzling. scratch

No worries Ben, and I wasn't implying it was a "commercial piece" ,like Arktis is commercial!. Just that it's not a home produced item, but then saying that how many nations farm their kit out to other national manufacturers, that could be the start of a whole new thread in it'self. Smile

I understand what you're saying about that for sure, and indeed it could be a whole new thread. Laughing

A lot of nations are outsourcing their kit to other countries to be made on the cheap. It's all about reducing the number on that bottom line.
