I picked this badge up on ebay I belive it to be a Gault made badge it has the flat lugs. Not bad for £6.00
Can any body confirm if Im right.
As Far as I know the Kiwi SAS have allways used the cloth badges I seam to rember that the NZ SAS were the last unit to go from the maroon beret to the sand Officaly designated donkey brown no crap. there may have been some Aussies there they have only ever worn a metal cap badge.cairyhunt wrote:did a exercise with some lads from NZ SAS quite a few years ago and pretty sure there berets had metal badges.BUT i could be wrong

yeh I should have said that The Australian SAS use and the Rhodesian SAS used either bimetal or two tone staybright badges.
