L-2B Flight Jacket

Hi guys, since it's my post here at IAMC, would like to share my L2-B Flight jacket that i picked up couple of months ago




Here's the lining:

Is that a copy ?? Going on the stencil in the back of the jacket ????
I have a blue nylon B15 with the same stencil.

man im not sure if it's a copy. when i opened the right pocket, i saw a tag and it says C.A.B. clothing co. and it has some japanese words on it.

Yes, they are made in Japan, but they are the best copies around, here are some pics of mine.

Not a fashion copy, they are made by Buzz Rickson and sold by Eastman leather.
They are exact copies of the originals in every way and cost as much as originals in some cases.
As an item to wear they are perfect.

C.A.B. Clothing was a fashion company in Japan in the mid-1990's. I am pretty sure they pre-date Buzz Rickson.
They are also the company that made the HBT p-44, big butt trousers, and stencilled the pockets with USN.
I helped them personally with a lot of their early copies.
Purely a fashion company and nothing else.

Ha! Just as i thought. Mine really is a copy. But a nice copy btw. Diggin that blue b15 fez. Thanks for informing me its a copy. I was always kinda dubious about that japanese tag at the right pocket

Thats why i joined this forum, to learn new things.
I have never come across this make before,but i am in the UK and they may not be available here.
How different is the C.A.B. jacket from an original ?
Obviously i can not have a good look at L-2B, what are the obvious differences apart from condition ??

I'll have to dig mine out. I've got a couple originals, both the L2B and the B15. Anything this old, if it has anything other than a Made in the USA label, is not an issue piece. That being said, commercial items were/are used by soldiers. I hava a Vietnam era blue B15 that is a commercial jacket a USAF aircrewman wore. I don't know about those, but the Alpha Industries ones made for the commercial market are MUCH thinner than issue jackets. I'll look for the bag of flight jackets and get some of the jackets and thier labels.
