Royal Navy Desert DPM's Empty Royal Navy Desert DPM's

My only British DPM's in my collection. This is a complete set: trousers, jacket, and modified boonie. I don't collect DPM's, but I got this in a bulk purchase of items. I did not know desert camo was needed on the high seas?!?

But on a serious note I think that the Harriers that were stationed in the Ghan were flown and maintained by RN personell so the navy did need dessies

    Ahh..that makes sense. Thanks!

These don't really fit into my collection so I will probably be selling or trading these off...anyone interested?

No idea what the value of the set is, like I said I don't collect DPM. The boonie is neat..it has ONE BOMB stitched on it as well. Pics for anyone interested.

Worn by the RN in Desert/Tropical climate, particularly the Stan and Gulf of Aden. A lot of RN search teams are seen wearing them when searching vessels with the FPGRM.

Lots of RN served in Iraq and Afghanistan, Bastion, Kandahar, and at fobs, in all manner of roles.
RN medics go out on patrol with RM units.

Not all Navy personnel (in any country) have the luxury of serving shipboard.

Some are assigned to land-based billets and may require land-based camouflage.
