I recently received a bunch of "Soviet" TTsKO stuff (I always assume Ukrainian Wink) and thought I'd share the stamps in case there's anything interesting about them:

    Hello Steve,

One way to tell if your uniform ink stamps are Russian vs. Ukrainian (especially when the factory/city names are washed out) is to look in the bottom left corner of the ink stamp.

See the arrow in the photo below:

"PIK" is a Ukrainian word that translates to "year" in English.

Can't read the bottom uniform manufacture stamp in your post but the rest look to be Ukrainian issue uniforms.

Anything interesting about these stamps? Steve

    Thanks,

    Erick

The dates alone would make those all Ukrainian if they are in TTsKO camo.

Unless it is a Russian aviation suit, as Sergey pointed out to me.

Thanks for the comments! I think it's actually pretty easy to tell if something is Ukrainian simply by the feel of the uniform. But it's great to have a confirmation shortcut with that PIK notation! Unfortunately sellers don't tend to have nice clean shots of the labels.

So nothing interesting about these? I figured as much Very Happy The one thing I am still curious about is the one with the white "paint' overstamp. What is that about? This uniform also had a diamond and a number painted above the left breast pocket. Another one that came in the same batch was similarly painted on. I figure it's some sort of unit designation, perhaps during initial training?
