We are trialing a another bag as well! Got them just after these were issued.

Its a light weight -10 bag and is smaller than the above one and is green, sorry but cant remember the maker.

It wouldnt be a Recon by any chance? When I was on the Pack Trail version 2 a green Recon Bag was produced. Ive seen them before and am a little bit skeptical to the rating.

Should have just gone back to a good down bag like the old green Domex which were good bag for their time. There were complaints after Ex KK about the new hybrids, however so far none have been documented.

Snugpak is the way forward just need to issue 2 bags a Softie 3 and a 12 would be ideal for NZ all year round weather but Brit made not their Asian ones.

Maybe a fleece liner would upgrade the Hybrid? as Grunts tend to sleep fully clothed and are usually wet and cold to start with that voids most bags ratings the liner would provided that comfort gap layer.

They need to issue a snugpac softie type jacket and get rid of the fleece.

A silk liner is a good option for increasing the warmth but with out the bulk, also useful as blanket/sheet in hot climates.

As for that new bag, I was cold in the Karioi forest and no way was it anywhere near -10.
