Keep seeing these smocks but they don't look sparse enough? Can anyone confirm.

With S95 type slotted buttons even if they were sparse they shouldnt be

Looks sparse, but I agree the buttons aren't from the era (1990/1991). Maybe commercial? Ask the seller to email you a pic of the tags.

It's not geniune, but it is sparse, seen quite a few of these around.

Agreed that this is all wrong for sparse cloth. Looks like someone decided to make some money off of unused cloth. The badged example is probably tarted up.
