"This piece pre-dates the current PCS style of clothing, it is a custom modified piece and was actually worn by the 2nd man on the balcony during the Iranian Embassy Siege in 1980!"Easy Gee wrote:I would not be surprised if these start appearing on Ebay as "SAS" pieces, cynicism apart, very nice piece not seen too many of these on the surplus market!

This is true because I've been looking for a set, also nothing has popped up on eeeewbay, I wouldn't be surprised though, it was only issued to the HMS Daring.

This was the first I've seen for sale, there was the pants to go with it but lost the bid by 50p on eeeewbay. Thanks for the nice bit of info about the ship.

Re: PCS Shirt in blue
Just seen this on the ARmy Rumour Service re: the Royal Navy PCS as a number of naval units wonder when it will be issued.
Hi
Basically the trials were deemed to be generally successful but threw up some things that need to be bottomed out - levels of FR protection, weights of cloth etc . There is also the need to identify where the money is coming from. Once this has been determined then I would say it is going ahead but not for some time. Personally I'd wait till you receive directions before worrying about sizing et al.
