    Although there is no image with this old post the patrol sack is likely to be a soft round tube, not unlike the sleeping bag stuff sack. It has, from memory, two very simple straps with brass eyelets at the ends. It was issued for Norway with emergency gear inside the man Bergen so that if one had to drop their main kit they could retrieve the day sack. Cheap, rugged effective and damned uncomfortable.
