Re: Italian Web Gear
Col Moschin is what I am attempting, because the easiest to get for me is an Ephod vest. I have a Sept-2 as a stand-in for the Systema Compositi 89, and I have the full uniform set and boots. It is also because they used other weapons than the Beretta AR70, which is impossible to find/afford.

I believe the Col Moschin had special helmets made by Cassoni.

Re: Italian Web Gear
I know whatever helmets they used are REALLY rare. *TF89, not Sistema, duh. Made by Techno Fibre. There were a couple of others that looked similar as well, but I do not know their make.

Re: Italian Web Gear
Hi all guys!
Here's my mozambique Alpini's set (op. Albatros 1993/94).
Not all know that, in addition to the suspenders, there was also a vest in this set, unfortunately never seen in photos (maybe because it was too bulky). (SEE DOWN)
As you can see the vest has the same type of pockets of the suspenders part.
The complete kit contained:
- suspenders (different from the ALICE ones!! much thinner)
- 1 mag pounch
- 1 grenade pounch
- 1 knife holder
- 1 holster
- 1 belt
- the vest
The pockets don't have the label because it was only on the vest!
The kit was produced by Sarchi/Broni from Pavia!
Here's the photos, hope you enjoy!

Re: Italian Web Gear
Great pics Camonut!
Finally discovered on of the use of this vest!
I bought mine about 2 years ago (unfortunately not much cheaply ) in a local fairy in batch with the others pieces in my post; the lots was still wrapped...
It makes me think that in mozambique Alpini's received all the kit but they never used the vest.
Many thanks for your interesting post!
Happy Easter to all!

Re: Italian Web Gear
Good stuff..
Honestly, that vest looks like a torture device..
Scary way to carry Energa grenade ; I can see why it would be discarded by troops..

It looks like they used it in several exercises in the 90s.

Re: Italian Web Gear
Yes it is not well documented at all. Often the equipment is not well marked either, so it is difficult to determine the time frames of use

Re: Italian Web Gear
Yes, basically the same concept! The Belgians made a nicer copy than this one though.
