Navy Police Modello Z 42 Helmet.

I am not an expert in helmets ( almost nothing) but I believe it´s not a navy police one. It looks like a Spanish Special Forces of Policia Armada Z42 helmet. Has that corp emblem in the front.

In all honesty Juan I also have no idea about the helmet,I just took Policia Armada loosely translated as Navy Police?

We are here to help as much as we can or know. Policia Armada has no relation at all with navy. Thet were just the police, created in Franco period. They worked similar to army in many things but their skills and competences just were similar to any world national police. It was a militarized police ( actual Guardia Civil is a military corp, even their functions are oriented to social service against robbery, traffic, mafias and loads of things according to national territory and in country zones with no presence of Policia Nacional or special police units of every state) Difficult to explain with my bad English.

Policia Armada was a military structured force oriented to social service in cities and mid towns which had their presence acting like a conventional police anywhere in the world. They were called " Los grises" ( The greys) because of their uniform colour. I thing they were in use until 1978 when the transition changed the corp in progression to mid 80´s when actual police was created ( not confirmed, just I think remember the datas)

The helmet was in use probably from 40´s to 60´s ofiacially, but probably used for a longer time.
