TAZ90 blouse/shirt

I have a questuion concerning the TAZ90 jacket with integrated SWISS ARMY logo...

It seems to me, that the jacket misses the Velcro patch for name and other info on the left side of the chest, am I right?

For me it was interesting to find canada-type buttons on the swiss TAZ90 jacket and pants...

Thanks Andy, I try to do my best.   My jacket misses any velcro or patch, its totally nacked. It seems that all the velcro and the shoulder insignia on the
left has been removed.

@ Sal, I will post some tag pics ASAP.... I don't know where I put the set... Have to digg it out.

I compared my logo TAZ90 jacket with my non-logo items. From what I can see the entire pattern is different between the two, not just one has the writing and the other doesn't. I'd appreciate it if others can check their items to make sure I'm not missing something.

Also, my 2007 trousers has its pattern printed in reverse of the 1995 jacket I have. The Swiss did this with their previous Alpenflage pattern as well.

On the second pic you posted(Mr. RIHS) the writing is visible on the right side of the collar. Just above the collar patch.

You are right, I have to make correction of the pics...

Excellent pictures, but I'm afraid the only way to confirm or refute my observations is to have several pieces in hand. The patterns are very "busy" and do not repeat very often. Trying to identify similarities is difficult without large surfaces to compare to. I compared the backs, arms, and legs of both types and could find nothing in common between the two.

I'm pretty confident the patterns are different, but it would be good to have someone else double check with first hand observations.

Steve, I suspect the patterns are different too.
Some of my Swiss TAZ90 pieces are in other city, where my parents live, and I'll try to check my things when i will be there.

Meanwhile, I hope the owners of different TAZ90 pants and jackets can help in highlighting this issue by the evidences they have on their hands just at the moment.

Here's my latest TAZ90. It's the 2007 dated one I mentioned above.

Very interesting that your TAZ 90 blouse dated 1007 has  logos while the trousers dated 2007 do not.
Fairly strong evidence that 20007 may have been the transition year, at least as far as manufacturing.

Can you find anything that is an exact match between the two? I'm looking at the two sets of pictures and nothing is catching my eye.

Differences doesn't mean the raw cloth isn't genuine. The Swiss had quite a few variations on the Alpenflage over the years, including concurrent production. They might be continuing with that tradition.

I think Sal got that the fabric from me. I bought it from one tailor lady here in Slovakia. I have no clue how she got it. She was just sewing normal work clothes from it :-)

What a story! :-)

The most interesting fact is the source, from which that lady used to get the fabric.
The source could be the factory, on which the original fabric is made by gov't contracts.

One simple example.
I had a cap of Swiss Zivilschutz, it's just the same as TAZ90 cap, but colour.
