I have one of these and it is very used. I sent pictures of it to Gilles ages ago and yes, he seems to think it is a commercial item. Perhaps made from real cloth, but not made for a military force. Definitely not France in any case.

During the 80's, I've seen such jackets sold in military shops. Hunters worn a lot of these during this period.
