I do not think that begging will work Steve. Mortgaging your house maybe?

Yeah, I'm sure it wouldn't work. I could go with the "I know where he lives", but he also knows where I live and there's quite a few things in my collection he'd go for. I think this is what some might call "detente" or perhaps "mutual assured destruction" Reminds me I sent him something yesterday and I haven't yet asked him for the money. So he get's an email from me anyways!
I passed up on one of these sets almost 20 years ago because $200 was too expensive. Had I known then what I know now...

Re: San Marco desert suit
Twenty years ago, on holiday in Florence, I found a very good militaria shop and he had, hanging on the wall, new San Marco suits in temperate and desert, just like the one in the photo above. They were the same price about $100. I chose the temperate one because I did not envisage a need for a desert suit. How wrong can you be?

I agree Sal. The owner is a reluctant poster though but maybe this thread will induce him to take a few photos.ripcord wrote:Some things are near sacred...

Sean,
Would be lovely to see some details ....but that is entirely up to the owner...
Thoroughly enjoyed the classics in the photo, and of course the uniforms as well....
Thanks for posting it..

Re: San Marco desert suit
Are there any pictures of that pattern used in Somalia? I have Italian body armor in that pattern, which I know was used in Somalia and Mozambique, but I have never seen the fatigues in use...
