    the most importants variations of the F1 helmet concern the liner and the chinstrap :

    to find the rubber seal , I visited a local car dealer and he allowed me to remove it from a twingo 1 wreck , for free

    Great guide and nice example's shown belgium one ,are there any variations your not mentioning or maybe transitional's my examples ,both show star crown pads but with slightly different vent holes plus one has a latter chinstrap also there appears to be a rear mounted press stud too any clue's to why that is there please

    Here are some photos of my 1991 dated F1 that i acquired a few years back When I got it the Chinstrap was a total wreck I tred to get another but they are more expensive than the pot, I found in the US what was advertised on ebay as an experimental 3 point strap for the PSAGT that only needed slight modification to fit the F1 and bonus it is very comfortable. The exterior of the of the pot is fitted with a standard center euro camo cover with sewn on rubber ring.

    I agree Graham regarding prices of the chinstraps,managed to track an early one down from France a few years back and cost me a lot more than complete helmets are going for these days.
