British insignia from RAF DDPM jacket

This is the TRF of the RAF mobile catering support unit it supports special forces in the field , haven't seen a desert one before all mine are black on green also the patch is normally worn on right arm above RAF TRF hope this helps .

I have visions of ladle armed RAF cordon bleu chefs following the Bravo Two Zero patrol in a Unimog. It would have been the steam from the "Puffin' Billy" that actually compromised the mission...
